Fireproof Twill Plain Activated Carbon Fiber Cloth

Activated carbon is a highly porous substance that attracts and holds organic chemicals inside it. The material is created by treated carbon fiber with an acid and burning the carbonaceous substance without oxygen. This makes a carbon “char”. The “char” is treated chemically or physically to develop an interconnected series of “holes” or pores inside the carbon. The great surface area of this internal pore network results in an extremely large surface area that can attract and hold organic chemicals.

Activated carbon fiber cloth is a new member of activated carbon fiber series. It is made of natural fiber cloth or artificial fiber cloth by high temperature carbonization and activation. According to the material, activated carbon fiber cloth is divided into two series---viscose base and polyacrylonitrile base. According to the weave, there are two kinds--- plain and twill. It is widely used in various fields such as solvent recovery, air purification, water treatment, deodorant, catalyst carrier, electrode material, medical care, medical rescue, chemical protection, shielding, etc.
